Bring your cards properly addressed to one of the collection
points.
While we try as hard as possible, sadly every year a number of cards are difficult to deliver because they do not have sufficient address details or they are being sent to addresses outside the delivery area.
Avoid disappointment by addressing your cards properly and not
mixing them up with cards meant for other destinations. Thanks from
everyone at ScoutPost, your help is much appreciated.

Each year over two thousand Scoutpost volunteers help to deliver
over 500,000 cards raising over £70,000 for local charitable
groups. This is a far cry from the first year of the scheme in 1984
when 18,000 cards were handled.
Leaders and volunteers from Scouting co-ordinate the scheme and work with others from across the city to carry out the vital task of sorting and stamping the cards.
These will be brought to a central sorting office by Tuesday 9th
December 2008 and distributed to adult volunteers who ensure that
delivery is achieved between the 12th and 21st December 2008. This
timetable ensures that they can cope with the task at a busy time
of year when the weather can be so unpredictable.
ScoutPost can only deliver to postcodes EH1
- EH17, EH28, EH29 and EH30

The funds raised by ScoutPost are used in a wide variety
of ways. Many Scout Groups rely on the income to meet running
costs of buildings and offer exciting programmes, which often
includes overseas expeditions.
Non-Scouting charities such as the Guides, Boys Brigade
and local churches also participate and raise money for their
organisations.
